Whiskey Boat, a FNQ rock shanty band, lures you like a sirens call. The lasses from Whiskey Boat, and their token manservant bassist, ensures a toe tapping experience with spilling harmonies, ballads of old, and heart starter jigs.
Whiskey Boat, with their nautical theme, have created catchy rhythms, soaring flute and tin whistle, vibrant violin, that weave amongst three-part harmonies, and the chug of a trusty washboard, keeping everything shipshape.
Sisters Lauren and Melissa Butler craft piratey jigs and indie ballads that explore the wild seas and are regular performers at regional festivals, community events and venues.

Expect a rollicking blend of country-folk, and sea shanty spirit with soaring harmonies, lively acoustic instrumentation and plenty of toe-tapping energy. Whiskey Boat brings a fun, engaging live show that can shift from heartfelt ballads and old-timey tunes to rowdy singalongs and festival favourites faster than a runaway billycart on a dirt hill.
Featuring combinations of fiddle, acoustic guitar, flute, bass and percussion, the band creates a warm, high-energy atmosphere suited to festivals, markets, pubs, weddings, community events and family-friendly gatherings.
The band can also run and lead traditional bush dances, making performances interactive and accessible for all ages. Popular dances may include the Heel and Toe Polka, Queensland Backstep, Pride of Erin and other classic Australian bush dance favourites, with easy-to-follow calling for beginners and seasoned dancers alike.
