We are a northern beaches based five piece smash hits rock covers band and we pride ourselves on giving a high energy, dynamic show filled with crowd interaction. We focus on well known popular hit songs from the birth of rock 'n' roll to the present - bands and famous songs that people love to dance and sing along to. We can play a full night, usually doing three 45 minute sets.

UpandAway is a five-piece Sydney based rock ‘n’ roll cover band delivering high-energy performances of the most iconic hit songs from the 1950s to today. With a focus on audience engagement and a dynamic setlist that gets every generation dancing, UpandAway transforms any venue into a celebration of live music. Our theme is built around the energy of takeoff—our shows are built to lift crowds up and away.
Our five core members are all Sydney based musicians and our typical line-up includes two guitars, bass, drums and vocals.
We are able to play stand alone full night shows of four hours, typically playing three full sets.

Depending on the venue and requirements we can offer extra services such as professional studio musicians skilled on Mandolin, Lap Steel Guitar, Dobro Guitar, percussionists, guest performers and other support bands. We also offer complete turnkey solutions including PA's, Mixers, Microphones & Stands, Foldback Monitors and Lighting if required.
Our setlist covers a wide range of classic rock, garage rock, pop, punk and blues, bringing together iconic tracks from legendary bands. Naturally we have to get the audience grooving with Neil Diamonds' Sweet Caroline. We pay tribute to the timeless sounds of The Rolling Stones with classics like Satisfaction and Paint It Black, and dive into the powerful rock anthems of AC/DC with Highway to Hell. We also channel the energy of The Beatles with songs like Get Back and I Saw Her Standing There, while The Kinks' You Really Got Me brings the raw garage rock vibe. For a taste of rockabilly and swamp rock, we cover Creedence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising, and Elvis Presley’s Suspicious Minds gives a soulful, rock & roll touch. We even include some Latin rock with Ritchie Valens' La Bamba and bring in the playful pop rock of The Monkees with I’m a Believer. Whether it’s the psychedelic influence of Pink Floyd or the garage revival spirit of The Black Keys or the raw energy of Jet’s Are You Gunna Be My Girl, our shows have something to keep everyone rocking and rolling all night long.
