Tom Booth Music covers live acoustic music, professional DJ sets and combined packages for weddings, corporate functions and private events across Tasmania. With over 14 years of performance experience, the focus is on building a complete soundtrack for your day — from ceremony guest arrival through to the final song of the reception, or from the opening canapés through to the close of a corporate function.

Planning and consultation - Every booking includes a planning process tailored to your event — handled by phone or email in the lead-up to your day. For weddings, we'll cover your must-play and do-not-play lists, first dance and parent dance selections, ceremony song choices, any cultural or family requests, and the run sheet timings with your venue and celebrant. For ceremonies, the three key songs (processional, signing, and recessional) can be learned and performed live where requested.

Live music options - Solo acoustic performance is suited to intimate ceremonies and relaxed cocktail hours. The acoustic duo with Nikayla — featuring guitar, keys and two vocalists — brings a more dynamic sound with rich vocal harmonies and a wider setlist ideal for ceremony, canapés and dinner sets. Nikayla draws on additional experience from VIXXIN and the Royal Australian Navy Band. Both formats cover material from the 1960s through to the 2020s.

Wedding DJ services - Reception DJ sets are built around your guest list and your style, not a generic wedding template. Expect personalised playlists, real-time crowd reading, and a seamless transition from dinner music into the dancefloor. The setup includes Pioneer DJ decks, RCF and JBL PA systems, and Allen & Heath mixing consoles — professional touring-grade audio throughout. Wireless microphones provided for your celebrant and for speeches at the reception.

The All-in-One Wedding Package - This is the most popular booking: live acoustic music for your ceremony and cocktail hour, transitioning into a full DJ set for the reception. One supplier, one consultation process, one consistent point of contact across the entire day. Couples wanting both live music and a DJ without coordinating two separate vendors find this is the cleanest option.

Lighting - Ambient wireless uplighting (customisable to your styling colours, or a clean plain white) sets the tone through dinner. Intelligent dancefloor lighting with moving wash heads activates for the reception, controlled live to match the energy of each track.

Equipment and logistics - The PA system is suitable for venues hosting 300+ guests, with backup gear carried on-site for every event. Battery-powered setups available for off-grid ceremonies — beach, forest, vineyard corners — without generators or visible cabling. The booth uses interchangeable black or white facades to match your venue's decor.

Coverage - Based in Lower Longley, regularly playing venues across Hobart, the Huon Valley, the East Coast and statewide. Regular venues include Caledon Estate, ValleyField, Peppermint Bay, Glen Albyn Estate, Spring Bay Mill and Brickendon Estate. Travel outside the greater Hobart area may attract a small fee.

At least one reliable power point is required to run all of my equipment. Assuming the area is relatively easily accessible, one hour is generally plenty of time to set up. If there are multiple locations, i.e, outdoor canapes and indoor reception, one power outlet for each space and at least an hour per pa system is preferable. Battery powered options are available if required.

Acoustic Wedding Duo Package:
Fuller harmonies for ceremony, canapés and dinner
