I play a laid back mix of rock n' roll, reggae and blues from the 60's to the present. I will always read the crowd to suit the situation, whether you just need some background ambience in your venue/party or some loud rock n roll tunes to get the party going.
I also try to keep things original. Working in hospitality for a long time got me a bit sick of hearing the same songs done the exact same way. So while I do have plenty of crowd pleasing songs, I'll always try and put my own spin on it and also throw some songs out they haven't heard done a million times.
At my gigs I use a loop pedal - which combined with a modulation pedal and beatboxing - allows me to create the illusion of a full band and really get peoples booty shaking. I also use a kick/snare stomp box, so I can keep a nice rhythm going no matter the song.
