Cait's Birthday Party in Cooks hill , Mar 2026
I wish I could write a better review however I was left utterly disappointed. I had confirmed and paid my deposit with Matt on the 10th of March everything seemed great he was organised and easy to communicate with, he asked what genres/ styles of music I would like to which I sent through. He then asked what types of songs to which I again replied with a few songs of which we like. He then asked me to send him a playlist 2 days before the event which I spent a couple of hours sorting through music to provide my own playlist I messaged Matt to ask where to send it on which I never received a reply. Come our event night he never turned up, I phoned him to see where he was and he stated that I had canceled his gig he stated he had proof of said cancellation however he failed to provide as I had never cancelled on him. He then stated that it was his mistake as he uses two different names and he thought we had booked him under his “dj” account even though we had clearly only spoken through his duo account. He offered to still come to the event however start 2 hours later then arranged time for only $100 less the original price and stated that all the songs I had provided for our playlist he didn’t have and he couldn’t prepare as it was to short of notice. I get the mistakes do happen however I had this event organised for my husband as a surprise 30th for him and we were then left to play our own music. I also feel that if you are the Dj for an event you should be the one supplying the songs, we are easy going with music as I had told him from the start I sent him songs as a guide which I was happy with, but to be paying $800 for a Dj when I then have the write the playlist doesn’t seem right. Overall I have been utterly disappointed.
