Oscar LaDell is a Singer-Songwriter based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Raised in a rural seaside village in the South of Aotearoa/New Zealand by bohemian American immigrants, Oscar grew up nurturing a love of old music & fantasy books while earning pocket money as a farmhand. A second generation musician, LaDell grew up listening almost exclusively to Blues & Soul introduced to him by his parents. The results of this musical diet are immediately evident in his work. Inspired by musical traditions of resistance, LaDell’s music is deeply evocative in its oscillation between the personal and political.

I bring a set of blues and soul covers intersperced with my own original songs. It is suitable for bars, outdoor events, cafes and festival stages. Whether you're looking for a cruisier set or something more raucous to get people on their feet, I will bring an engaging, fun show.
