The information outlined below is a general guideline for bookings only. Every venue and event is unique, so please get in touch to discuss your individual requirements.

EVENT TIMINGS

Please specify call time and performance time.

Mel will arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to check in with you or the event coordinator, conduct a risk assessment of the performance area, and advise if any concerns need addressing.

For fire performance – 15 minutes pre-performance time set up time is required for the fuelling of props, with access to a secure, well-ventilated area for fuelling and extinguishing in close proximity to the stage area.

STAGE / SPACE REQUIREMENTS

Hula-hoop stage acts generally require a minimum of 3m x 3m flat space. 4m x 4m and larger are preferred.

All stages require at least 4m vertical clearance.

Fire performance areas require a minimum of 4m x 4m area, must be suitable for fire, and have an additional 4m x 4m clearance (dead-zone) between the act and the audience.

Fire performances may need to be modified due to weather conditions such as high winds, rain, or a total fire ban. If this is the case, LED hoops may be substituted.

Ideal surfaces for shows include grass, traditional or concrete stages, and stages may also be created by roping a suitable area off.

All acts are able to be performed indoors providing enough space is provided, and the necessary safety requirements are adhered to.

SOUND (PA) REQUIREMENTS

A suitable PA sound system for music playback during the show.

For general hula-hooping including fire acts, Bluetooth only audio input is acceptable.

For synchronised LED/music shows, you will provide an auxiliary cable with a 3.5mm TRS (Stereo) Jack for line-level connection to our playback system.

The cable required is exactly the same audio cable used for laptops, iPads, and phones, etc.

If you do not have a suitable sound system, we can supply one for you by prior arrangement, at an additional cost.

GREEN ROOM

A secure green room for costuming and prep before or after show and in between sets.

EVENT ACTIVATIONS REQUIREMENTS (LED Hoop GLOW-ZONE)

For 15 hoops, a 9m x 9m (preferably roped off) area is required.

For 15 - 30 hoops, a 15m x 15m (preferably roped off) area is required, and two performers are needed to run the session.

HULA-HOOP STAGE ACT

A high-energy freestyle performance to a single track of your choice (hoop lighting not synced to music). Perfect for a quick spotlight moment or surprise feature. Ideal for private parties and community events.

Duration: 3–5 minutes.

PREMIUM LED HULA-HOOP STAGE ACT

A high-energy choreographed performance, with state-of-the-art hoop LED lighting synchronised perfectly to music and ‘Human Slinky’ Finale. Ideal as an eye-catching feature show. Perfect for corporate functions and large events.
