Medha - Indian Vocalist | Bollywood, Ghazal & Devotional

Expect a soulful and elegant Indian live music experience, tailored to the mood of your event. I perform a mix of Bollywood film songs, ghazals (Urdu poetry set to music), devotional songs, bhajans (devotional songs), and semi-classical pieces.

The performance can be reflective, nostalgic, uplifting or gently interactive, depending on the setting. For intimate gatherings, I can create a mehfil-style atmosphere — a warm musical space where guests can listen, connect and enjoy the emotion of the songs.

I specialise in Indian music and do not perform western pop or rock sets. Song requests can be discussed in advance, subject to suitability and preparation time.

I can provide my own basic sound setup for small private events, including a vocal microphone, speaker, laptop/backing tracks, and guitar where required.

Setup requirements:
* Access to a standard power point close to the performance area
* A safe, clean and dry performance space
* Approximately 2m x 2m space for microphone, speaker, laptop and guitar setup
* A small table or stable surface for laptop/music equipment
* Suitable shelter for outdoor events, as equipment cannot be exposed to rain, moisture or direct harsh weather
* Access to the space at least 30–45 minutes before the performance for setup and sound check.

For larger venues or events with a professional sound system, I am happy to connect into the venue’s PA system where suitable.

Sample repertoire may include a soulful mix of Indian film songs, ghazals (Urdu poetry set to music), devotional songs, bhajans (devotional songs), and semi-classical pieces.

* Romantic and nostalgic Hindi film songs
* Ghazals by artists such as Jagjit Singh and Ghulam Ali
* Devotional/bhajan pieces suitable for spiritual gatherings

* Select guitar-accompanied songs, depending on the mood of the event

The final set list is tailored to the occasion, audience and event atmosphere. Song requests can be discussed in advance, subject to suitability and preparation time.

**Package 1: Intimate Short Set — from $395**
A 30–40 minute solo vocal performance, ideal for small private gatherings, cultural events, spiritual evenings, dinner settings or intimate celebrations. Each set is tailored to the event and may include Bollywood film songs, ghazals (Urdu poetry set to music), devotional songs, bhajans (devotional songs), and/or semi-classical pieces.

**Package 2: Soulful Live Set — from $500**
A 45–60 minute performance tailored to the mood of your event. This package allows for a fuller musical journey, which may include nostalgic Hindi film songs, ghazals, devotional pieces, and/or semi-classical music, with gentle interaction or storytelling where suitable.

**Package 3: Extended Mehfil Experience — from $700**
A 75–90 minute performance designed for events wanting a deeper, more immersive musical experience. This can be curated as a devotional evening, a ghazal-led set, a Bollywood/semi-classical mix, or an intimate mehfil-style performance depending on the occasion.

Final pricing may vary depending on event location, duration, setup requirements, sound equipment needs, workshop format, and any special song requests. Song requests can be discussed in advance, subject to suitability and preparation time.

Public liability insurance is not currently held, but can be arranged if required for a suitable booking, venue or event.

For private indoor events, the organiser is responsible for confirming any venue requirements, permits, noise restrictions or approvals that may apply. For public events, council venues, parks, community spaces or larger events, any required permits, approvals and site requirements should be confirmed by the event organiser in advance.
