Acoustic Country/Folk Rock Duo
The harmonious singing voices of Dave (Smiley) Martin and Chris Mearns blended with their acoustic guitar and bass accompaniment, results in a relatable, honest and warm sound. The bass provides a very strong rhythmic heartbeat to the music, while the guitar adds to the mood and rhythmic energy.
When M&M play a familiar tune or reveal a song they have written, they strike a chord with the listener. A chord that will trigger a tap of the foot, a smile or even a little tear - but generate feeling and enjoyment that completes the Martin & Mearns experience.
These professional musicians are easy to work with and come with all equipment, incl PA.

Undercover stage area. Our PA is sufficient for a room of circa 300 people but is compact and therefore an area of 6 sq m is adequate for a duo. Require 240v power source to stage. Stage lighting additional on request.
We like to craft our sets to suit the occasion and are happy to come back to you once we have had a chat about your event or occasion.
As songwriters we often include a relatively small number of our own songs and in general, perform classic hits of artists such as Neil Young, Travelling Wilburys, Eagles, BeeGees, Roy Orbison, Mark Knopfler, Neil FInn, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, Everlys, Rick Price etc.
We can arrange the right package for you.
MARTIN & MEARNS DUO
Our basic $600 fee covers up to 1 hour of performance time. This could be broken down into two 30 min sets or three 20 min sets.
1.5 hrs performance time is $750. 2 hrs performance time is $900.
with ADDITIONAL BACKING
We can arrange for a professional guitarist and drummer to join us if that suits the occasion and your budget.
