Tim went from a super fit Triathlete representing Australia at the Age Group World Championships in Auckland, an accomplished Personal Trainer, and RAAF Aviation Fire Fighter to a bed-bound and paralysed hospital patient spending 4 1/12 months in ICU ventilated and paralysed to the neck. Another 5 1/2 months, learning to talk, walk, and do daily things was required and Tim changed his life perception and outlook. A medical discharge from the RAAF due in part to Bi-lateral Foot Drop, saw Tim study Nursing and he is now a Registered Nurse giving back to others for the great care he received.
You never know how strong you are, until being strong is all you have left!

A story of the mindset it takes to learn to move and walk again after being completely paralysed to the neck.
A story of going from a fit and active Triathlete, Personal Trainer and serving my country with the RAAF as an Aviation Fire-Fighter to being paralysed to the neck bed-bound, and the long recovery that will never be 100% complete.
Even with physical limitations still present, 9 years later, after being medically discharged from the Royal Australian Airforce in 2019 I completed a Bachelor of Nursing and currently look after people in hospital.
I will provide multiple takeaways on how to implement a positive mindset in the face of adversity, how to develop a military mindset, how to develop resilience and manage stress with mindfulness and positive reinforcement. We will touch on our overall wellbeing in life and my journey and what I have experienced personally.
Lastly - Everyone will suffer from adversity at some stage in life - It's not what happens to us in life, it's how we respond that matters, that defines us as a person.
