House Of Refuge is a 4-piece Australian independent, alternative, rock band from Newcastle, Australia. The band formed in 2020 when the boys collided with musical talent and interest to bring their dreams to light. Defining themselves with the energy they bring is similar to a mum on her 5th glass of champagne. A repertoire as varied as their band members make their shows lively and dynamic.

Their music draws influence from artists like the iconic Aussie sounds of Bad//Dreems, Midnight Oil and Spy V Spy, to the raucous riffage of Queens of the Stone Age, and the grooving energy of Wolfmother and Red-Hot Chilli Peppers, with a dash of the punk attitude of Celibate Rifles and Frenzal Rhomb.
With many local shows across the Newcastle region, the band has supported the likes of The Screaming Jets, Spy V Spy, and Lime Spiders. The bands’ music has been described as "high energy, earworm songs", and "a sound that’s timeless, original and rockin'".
