Dr Judy Ford is one of the pioneers of human genetics so most of her talks include a little about genes and inherited factors. Judy gives entertaining talks both about her science adventures as well talks that focus on specific science/health issues (both every day and unusual). Dr Judy's topics range from 'How to improve fertilty naturally', 'How to reduce your risks of developing cancer - and these talks can be for specific cancers or general or male only or female only', 'How to optimise most aspects of your health naturally', 'Some adventures of a female scientist', 'Chernobyl - 5 years after the accident', 'How to break the cycles of stress'. Dr Judy Ford has had several main phases in her career: first, she led genetics laboratories for about 25 years during which she not only published extensively in the scientific/medical literature but attracted worldwide publicity, including several interviews with the BBC, CBC and NBC. She then went on to work for five years as a professional speaker and legal expert before returning to work at the University of South Australia, where she trained PhD students, especially international students in high quality science communication.
Expect an experienced, well-spoken person with a sense of humour. Judy uses humour to lighten even the most difficult of subjects. She is very popular with audiences of all ages and nationalities.
