Ella Hartwig

Hey! This is exciting. So, I moved to Brisbane city about 4 years ago from remote FNQ. I grew up singing and played my first gig when I was maybe 12 years old. Since then, I've been learning how to work crowds and honing my gigging abilities. I've been living full-time off my music for the last while, so I've learnt a thing or two about how to best involve myself in events. Before my international Ireland & UK tour, you could find me almost anywhere around Brisbane. My favourite places were getting the whole of the Royal George Hotel singing along, or getting a packed room at Chattahoochee Joe's singing back to me, on the other side of the valley mall. I have had my fair share of rowdy singalong nights!

On the other hand, I regularly volunteer at the Queensland Children's Hospital and can tailor my music to suit almost any situation (this is where I met and supported a performance from Guy Sebastian!!). The first wedding I ever played, I was just 14 years old!! I have sung at many private events and have even sung at people's funerals... (I know- talk about reading the room and making the music work for the event!)

I come in many forms! Solo is the most straightforward. At country bars, you might have seen me stomping along with a fiddle player at my side, or with a band around the city. For my original music, I've even played with an 8-piece band!

The reason I've now signed up to CrowdPleaser, is that I am really wanting to put my skills to more intentional use. The response in public venues is so beautiful, and I want to bring that to your private events. Since coming home from tour, I am working on the new album and really loving the idea of private work!

Here's a little more about me:
From a remote Far North Queensland town, to national stages across Australia, Ella Hartwig is an award winning country-folk artist based in Brisbane, Queensland.
After her third Queensland Music Award nomination, and performing at one of Australia’s largest country music festivals, she announced her debut international tour to Ireland & UK in 2026.
Whether it’s supporting Guy Sebastian at the Children’s Hospital where she regularly volunteers, performing at Brisbane’s award-winning busiest country bar Chattahoochee Joes, singing at a corporate event for the NRL, in the Suncorp member’s lounge, Rydges top floor, the Elite Business Leaders lunch, or tailored weddings and events all across Queensland (and further!), Ella has it handled.
Her debut album “Take Me South” sold out its initial physical-only release during an Australian National Tour, with demand later driving a digital deluxe edition. The album features her breakout single “Western Star” alongside a fan-inspired track created from listeners’ online comments, highlighting Ella’s close connection with her audience. Ella has toured extensively across Australia and in light of her career momentum, performs at corporate events and weddings to fund her dreams. She saves the spotlight for tours and festivals, ensuring that the events she provides for have the right atmosphere, with a honed skill to ‘read the crowd’, she’s regularly complimented on her repertoire and ability to adapt.
Regularly a go-to for agencies who need a reliable, high-quality performance, Ella takes the stage solo, as a duo, and has had to pull together a full band on a day’s notice, thanks to her big city networks, now that she’s out of remote FNQ.
