Today DJ First provides Melbourne with a team of professional disc jockeys at a price and package you can afford. DJ First is a multi-system company with eight dedicated, dependable hardworking DJs that take pride in everything they do.

Each DJ is mature well dressed and has a great personality, confident on a microphone and not scared to make any announcements or introductions.

They all have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and are more than happy to help in any way they can. All you need to do is ask.

All the equipment we use is ultra modern. It’s simply the best of the best. We don’t take any chances when it comes to organizing your professional DJ equipment. You can choose from three professional DJ packages, five hours or less of DJ entertainment, and add on any of the other equipment – allowing you to customize your own personal DJ package!

Our music library is huge. It covers all genres of music styles. We can also cater for Italian, Greek, Spanish and Arabic. It’s all CD digital quality. Our music is specially made CDs for radio station DJs and club DJs. We provide you with a Music Format sheet that you can choose the style of music you would like to be played at your event and importantly what song you would like not to hear.

Your mobile DJ entertainer will mix up the music, interact with your guests, and keep them partying all night long. They also take requests and can make any announcements at no extra charge; there is always an extra microphone for your all-important speeches.

With DJ First distance is not an issue. We cover the entire Melbourne metropolitan area with a network of locally based DJs servicing Bundoora, Carlton, Epping, Box Hill, Mitcham, Essendon, Keilor, Greenvale, Werribee, Brighton, Eltham and all suburbs in-between, along with most of country Victoria (a travel fee applies outside the greater Melbourne area).

A standard double power point (240volt 10 amp) is desirable indoors
If your event is in a marquee or outside, an extension lead needs to be required within 10 meters of the set up area and under cover in case of rain.

The music we play at your event is such an important element to your function it can make or break the atmosphere, it can keep people dancing or sends them home, as seasoned professionals we know the music selection at a 21st birthday party is going to be different than at a wedding reception, every event is treated differently the music played is also grouped up in sets of four to five songs with either the same genre, beat or style this make the music flow better and keeps your guests dancing.

Your DJ can also set the mood you require with an upbeat interactive engaging DJ, one who is using the microphone to the fullest potential, playing and encouraging your guests to rip up the dance floor. Or do you prefer a DJ with more of a low key approach?

Everyone is different – we can cater for both. You can also choose to leave the music up to the DJ’s discretion. Once we see your guests we can best select the music on the night, or you can forward plan and select your own play list or special requests alternatively you can preselect a particular genre style from the Music Format Sheet that we will send out to you once you have booked with us.

You can also bring along CD’s or a USB memory stick that we can play for you on the night – because some clients like to provide their own special music on the night. Our DJ’s are more than happy to accommodate.
If you are planning a special theme night the Music Format Sheet comes in handy. You can forward select songs that are not on the list and we will do our best to provide it on the night. Please keep in mind we can only play approximately twenty songs per hour.
