Why Burlesque?
Burlesque is one of the oldest performance art forms that connects audiences through the Art of Tease.
It's entertaining by being both glamourous yet cheeky. With roots in Vaudeville & Cabaret, performers connect with their audiences on a more intimate level than any other performance art form.
Maple Rose is an internationally reknowned & award winning artist, who not only performs but teaches, mentors & produces; cementing herself as a figurehead in the Melbourne burlesque scene.
After devoting 12 years to this art form, Maple knows the ins & outs of every type of performance opportunity, & the community who would be best suited to them.
Maple & her colleagues can cater an act to any space - just let us know what you're after!
Choices can range from booking a full show, pop up performances or even atmospheric showgirls.
Acts usually run 3-5 min in length if there is a staged area, & can go up to 7 min in length if the performers are roving in & around the audience.
Need ambience? Feathered showgirls are always popular. Showgirls are available for 30 min sets.

What we ask of you to provide for us to safely entertain you:
- A space cleared for us to dance in. This can include an aisle to rove.
- A stereo system with an Aux cable for an iPod/laptop
- a secure private space for costume changes. (This does not mean a public or disabled toilet.)
-As our artform is that of an adult nature,we need the performance area to be clear from the view of onlookers and minors.
- Communiction with your guests that they understand that there is no touching the performers of any kind.
