Bob the Bubbler is a character with a cart and a whole lot of bubbles. From countless small ones to giants as big as a car! I'll rove around your event or festival, creating a fun shared experience that everyone can get behind. When that bubble floats your way it's hard not to smile and poke it.
I specialise in events and festivals, with the character being especially effective working road closures and street activation. Add some shine and excitement to your event with some magical roving bubbles!

I've been roving festivals and events for over 5 years now, with over 10 years experience teaching and coaching circus. I'll move around your event being careful of where the bubbles fly, as wind can carry them to stallholders and the like. The character is often called a pied-piper, as kids will follow my cart wherever it goes chasing the bubbles and popping them. I'm very conscious of this of course, and can use it to lead audiences to areas, gathering crowds for key acts or speakers.
Bubbles lover the rain, so I'm a great wet-weather contingency where other costume or roving performances would need to run from the wet.

I come packed and ready. I need parking within walking distance of the event, though I cant take stairs with the cart. I can do indoor events if the flooring is carpet or similar, but wood or tiles become a slip hazard. Ideally I have a nice open area with grass and space for the children to chase the bubbles. Compact, busy events can get cramped, but I've always found was to make it work.
Roving character work is 45min on, 15min off, within reason. Minimum 1-hour booking, maximum 8-hours per day. $200 per hour, discounts may be available for not-for-profit community events. Travel costs are at $0.85 a km if your outside of Melbourne, and $40 an hour if you're outside of Melbourne. Please get in touch for a precise quote.
Note: roving is part of a larger experience, if I am the only entertainment (no band, stalls, other performers, or experiences going on) then I am no longer roving but the main performance and rates go up.
