Benny Purnell performs as solo, duo and in rock band Tubed Radio. His music has rock and blues undertones with occasional hints of folk and reggae. Benny can play a set of originals, or 3hrs+ of covers. Usually a mix of both.
Solo sets are accompanied by acoustic guitar, 2 foot stomps, and vocals all played simultaneously.
Duo is with a drummer, and can be with a lead guitarist if requested. Artists covered range from INXS, Jet, The Black Keys, Sublime, The Talking Heads, Grinspoon, Nirvana, Stevie Wonder, Steppenwolf, Neil Young, and Ash Grunwald.
Benny brings good energy and the desire to create the right sound. He has his own PA, and takes on every gig with the same enthusiasm.

Benny conducts himself professionally while being easy going and flexible with requirements. Adaptable on the day with ability to fit to event schedules and playing timeframes.
He will arrive with enough time to set up equipment required for solo, duo, or band. Can provide his own PA and lights for small to medium size venues.


One power outlet 2400W if PA (production) is required. Shelter from weather if outdoors at evening times.
If production is supplied:
Solo- One vocal mic, one instrument mic, one input for guitar, and one line input for foot stomp (Bigfoot).
Duo- 2 vocal mics, Kick/drum mics, input for guitar (DI).
Tubed Radio (rock band)- 2 vocal mic inputs, one instrument mic input, drum mics (I have a kick mic and spare Shure sm57), DI input for bass
