A high-energy Scottish ceilidh band based in Melbourne, A Wee Dram brings infectious tunes, lively dancing and plenty of laughs.

Inspired by the traditional ceilidhs of Scotland, we play classic Scottish reels, jigs and ceilidh favourites that get people moving, whether they’re seasoned dancers or complete beginners.

Available as a caller-only package, acoustic duo or full live band, ceilidh dancing is led by Heather, whose clear and enthusiastic calling helps everyone feel confident enough to join in.

Perfect for weddings, private parties, festivals and corporate events, A Wee Dram creates joyful, energetic dance floors with big smiles and the very real possibility of sore feet.

Expect a lively and inclusive evening where guests are encouraged to get involved, have a laugh and enjoy the atmosphere together on the dance floor.

Each dance is explained and demonstrated clearly before the music begins, making it easy for complete beginners to join in without needing any previous ceilidh or Scottish dancing experience. Guests are free to jump in as much or as little as they like, and the focus is always on creating a relaxed, social and enjoyable atmosphere rather than getting every step perfect.

Our ceilidhs are designed to bring people together across generations, with plenty of partner swapping, group dances and moments of organised chaos that quickly break the ice and fill the room with energy. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, corporate function or community event, we tailor the pace and dance selection to suit the crowd and create a memorable experience for everyone involved.


We require access to full PA with the ability to input 4 instruments and 1 microphone.
We can bring our own PA, if required, for an additional charge
Having a performance space of around 4m x 3m or bigger is ideal.
Access to a minimum of 2 power outlets as close as possible to the stage is also required.

The Half Pour: (from $1350)
2 live musicians (including caller). A small but lively set up that brings a real acoustic energy to the room.

The Full Dram: (from $1950)
Live band (including caller). The complete ceilidh experience with depth, drive and a full dance floor feel.
